Musician, cultural manager, teacher.
She holds a PhD in Sociology (Cum Laude – International) from the University of Barcelona (2018), an MA in Cultural Management (UOC 2013) and an MA in Humanities: art, literature and contemporary culture (UOC, 2016). She also holds a degree in Music Education (UAB, 2010).
Her main areas of research are the sociology of culture and the arts; artistic professions; music and education, among others. She has participated as a speaker in different international congresses (Switzerland, Austria, Uruguay, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Spain).
She is currently a professor at the University of Barcelona, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, the Superior School of Music of Catalonia and the School of Performing Arts and Musical Production (Esart). She is the coordinator of the Master in Musical Management and Production of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc).
She studied jazz piano and singing. She currently co-directs “Sonall, música per a nadons“, together with Gemma Rafecas. Since 2015 she has been performing traditional Catalan songs with guitarist Dani Jané. Since, she composes, interprets and directs the musical kids show “Maila, un món de contes a través de la música“. Since 2016 he has been part of musical groups of soul, funk, pop and rumba as keyboardist, chorus, accordionist and singer.
Since 2005, she works as a music teacher in different schools in Barcelona, being a professor of Music for Babies, Musical Language, Instrumental Ensemble, Choral, Voice and Piano.
