Musician, cultural manager, teacher.
She holds a PhD in Sociology -Music, Culture, (Cum Laude – International) from the University of Barcelona (2018), a MA in Cultural Management (UOC 2013) and an MA in Humanities: art, literature and contemporary culture (UOC, 2016). She also holds a degree in Music Education (UAB, 2010).
Her main areas of research are music and education; artistic professions; gender and culture, among others. She has participated as a speaker in different international congresses (Switzerland, Austria, Uruguay, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Spain).
She is currently a lecturer at the University of Barcelona. In recent years, she has taught at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and the Taller de Músics Escola Superior d’Estudis Musicals (ESEM), and also she has been the coordinator of the Master in Musical Management and Production of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc), the Bachelor in Music Education and the Bachelor in Music Production and Management in Taller de Músics Escola Superior d’Estudis Musicals (ESEM).
She studied jazz piano and singing. She currently co-directs “Sonall, música per a nadons“, together with Gemma Rafecas. Since 2015 she has been performing traditional Catalan songs with guitarist Dani Jané. Since, she composes, interprets and directs the musical kids show “Maila, un món de contes a través de la música“. Since 2016 he has been part of musical groups of soul, funk, pop and rumba as keyboardist, chorus, accordionist and singer.
Since 2005, she works as a music teacher in different schools in Barcelona, being a professor of Music for Babies, Musical Language, Instrumental Ensemble, Choral, Voice and Piano.
